Public Transport in Vienna

Vienna has a well-developed, safe and efficient public transport network. Information about the connections and prices can be found under: http://www.wienerlinien.at/ - in the right-hand corner of this Website you will find a link to the English version.

The University of Vienna is located in the immediate vicinity of the underground/subway station for the line “U2” and the tram stations for the tram lines 1, 2, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 and D.
From Schottentor take the tram (Nr. 43 or 44) for two stations to Lange Gasse/Spitalgasse.

Tickets

Valid throughout Vienna for exactly 24, 48 or 72 hours from the time they are punched.

  • 24 Hours: € 6,70
  • 48 Hours: € 11,70
  • 72 Hours: € 14,50

Available in the Vienna Transport Authority´s ticket offices, tabacconists and ticket machines.
